Our Story

Blue Island Divers peer

It all started when…

An enchanting dive is what propelled the decision to develop Blue Island Divers in Roatan. We were diving with some close friends in the pristine waters of Roatan on a gorgeous day. While diving, we encountered every underwater creature you could imagine – turtles, spotted eagle rays, green moray eels. Everything was perfect. It was one of those moments when you get choked up and think ‘this is it’. We decided this is what we wanted to do for the rest of our lives. Whether on a dive with customers or a dive with family and friends, we want to share that love of diving and amazing feeling with others. That is what keeps people coming back.

Blue Island Divers Roatan (BIDR) was built by Divers for Divers. The owners are from Texas-USA and in 2014 decided to change their lives and move to Roatan to embrace the diving lifestyle. Blue Island Divers Roatan is a lovely and intimate Eco Diving Resort, on the beach, built with wood and recycled materials, for people that would prefer a relaxed and cozy atmosphere over a big and always on the rush “All Inclusive Resort”. We have the maximum capacity for 25 guests.
